Day One

Here are some pictures of our room. As you can see, we have a view of the Sydney Opera House and Harbor out our window on the 18th floor.

Once we got to the hotel, we had plenty of goodies waiting for us. In our welcome bag we had a Flip It digital camcorder, digital camera, and free Maui Jim sunglasses and jacket. The sunglasses were especially cool, as we had some great ones to choose from. Here are some pictures of our new swag. Another great thing about the Four Seasons was the fact that they had complimentary 10 minute back and neck rubs as you checked in. After sitting on cramped flights for 18 hours, it was just what the doctor ordered.

This was one of those double-decker 747s, and it was easily the largest plane that either of us have ever been on. Sleeping proved rather difficult (for me), but Tina was able to get a pretty good 5 hours of sleep. I couldn’t get comfortable and could only sleep for about 30 minutes before my legs would start cramping. However, each seat had its own TV in the back of the seat in front of you, and had plenty of new movies, TV shows, music and games On Demand to choose from. Tina watched Marley & Me and He’s Not That Into You, and I watched The Curious Case of Benjamin Button, and read some magazines and books. We definitely had plenty of entertainment options to choose from, which made the trip go by much faster.

Here is a picture of the weary travelers as we're about to board the plane.

  1. A FLIP IT DIGITAL CAMCORDER!?!? I'm so jealous! We're looking at those as our next purchase to film all the upcoming baby stuff. Can't wait to hear your review on it. So glad you made it to the Outback. I've been thinking about yall! I have some catching up on my reading to do. :-)
